About

Update: November 30th, 2009

The Lost Surfer, in technical terms, is a news aggregator which collects information from various RSS feeds on the Internet and displays the gathered information in a single location for easier viewing.

The Lost Surfer, in human terms, is a big searchable site where we collect articles and news from other sites on the internet and put them all together so you can find what you’re looking for without needing to search through a dozen different sites to find what you want. We are also working on language translations on most pages (although they are not perfect) to bring the information to more people who might otherwise miss something because English is not their native language.

The basic idea is to give  lost web surfers a starting point where they can easily find something that peaks their interest and find information faster than they would by simply clicking through random and unknown links on a standard search engine. Hence the site title, The Lost Surfer.

Although there is already quite a lot of information available on the site, it is still in a “pre-launch” phase and some things may be incomplete. If you have any questions, suggestions,  problems or praise, feel free to leave a comment below.
